A contemporary style built upon the merging of cultures and eras. Casa Pool is where we connected with the client over a shared love of Japanese culture and fashion, as well as the urgency to modernize the interior of their classic house. The challenge here was: How do we convince the client of the value of what we were doing as a design studio, and how do we approach modernizing a classic space without losing its soul?

Recognizing the client’s love of design products, we encouraged the placement of artful pieces that would give a unique edge to the classic architecture of the house. Pieces like a Virgil Abloh rug, Fritz Hansen daybed, a Molteni table, and more, exist side by side in this house on top of marble flooring, wood paneling, and classic profiling as its classicism canvas.

The client believed in our vision and rode together with us in taking design risks. Risks that have made the outcome interesting and far from safe. For example, where else would we find an opportunity to grace a pool with a graphic design approach such as the pool in the Patal Senayan project? The project may be classical, but the collaboration between us and the client is an example of a successful design project.

Objects of Desire: Volume 2.0

Is a study in intention and timelessness, inviting us to reconsider the objects we surround ourselves with—not merely as decorative gestures, but as meaningful extensions of our lived experience

At the heart of this narrative is the subtle elegance of waste travertine—a material imbued with both sustainability and quiet sophistication. Its muted tones and organic veining speak of restraint and refinement.

Through this collection, Eko Priharseno explores the sculptural possibilities of utility, presenting a series of table lamps, wall lights, and coffee tables that blur the line between art and function.

Each form is a carefully considered interplay of material and light, designed to resonate with the rhythms of the spaces they inhabit.

This master bathroom at Casa Pari underwent a complete transformation, stripping away its original materials to make room for an entirely new identity. The redesign began with the client’s fondness for a mono material—travertine—a classic choice with a quiet, enduring charm, forming a cohesive canvas for the space.

We paired this timeless material with modern details and mid-century influences, creating an atmosphere that feels both nostalgic and contemporary.

To break its visual uniformity, we introduced a bold marble basin, a deliberate contrast that adds depth and intrigue. Walnut veneer, shaped with subtle concave detailing, brings warmth and tactility, balancing the room’s structured lines with a sense of invitation.

The interplay of classical lines and unexpected material choices creates a subtle tension—and brought that emotional resonance.

We want to achieve a functional space that feels thoughtful, layered, and deeply personal—a space that lingers in the memory as much as it serves its purpose.

When iconic pieces meet functional forms, Casa Pari is not a physical setting but a meaningful extension of the client’s world - the space transcends the aesthetic, becoming a thoughtfully crafted solution that merges style with purpose.

Here, design takes on the role of problem-solver, refining each element for spatial efficiency and emotional engagement.

Iconic pieces like the Get Back Sofa by Poltrona Frau, designed by Ludovica Palomba, and the classic Womb Lounge Chair by Knoll, designed by Eero Saarinen in 1946, with its distinctive, cocoon-like silhouette, offers a sense of refuge and ease, embodying mid-century innovation.
