Maison Taksu

Design for a home in a megapolitan city is often merely translated as luxurious and high-end, throwing in any pricey pieces to meet the social standard of a city where the economy flows swiftly. Yet, our client for the Mangkuluhur project has a different attitude towards the megapolitan Jakarta city.

One of the ways we achieved that is by creating spaciousness mainly delivered through the heart of the home, the living room. The penthouse apartment came as a blank and partition-less space, hence giving us the freedom to place the living room. To get the spaciousness that we aimed for, we planned the living room to connect seamlessly with the terrace/sunroom and the dining area. This tripled the social and hobby space the clients wanted in the first place. A sectional, plump-looking custom-made Even though they live in the heart of the city which demands edges from anyone who lives in it, our client looks for a way to equalize those edges from an apartment on the 50th floor. An apartment that allows social activities and hobbies to happen at home. Those desires became the brief that we answered with a residential design that renders a sense of freedom to its dweller.
