This master bathroom at Casa Pari underwent a complete transformation, stripping away its original materials to make room for an entirely new identity. The redesign began with the client’s fondness for a mono material—travertine—a classic choice with a quiet, enduring charm, forming a cohesive canvas for the space. We paired this timeless material with modern details and mid-century influences, creating an atmosphere that feels both nostalgic and contemporary. To break its visual uniformity, we introduced a bold marble basin, a deliberate contrast that adds depth and intrigue. Walnut veneer, shaped with subtle concave detailing, brings warmth and tactility, balancing the room’s structured lines with a sense of invitation. The interplay of classical lines and unexpected material choices creates a subtle tension—and brought that emotional resonance.
