AEDI has spent two decades being one of the foremost interior design studios. Yet, we had a dream that we had yet to realize, which was to design a new office for ourselves. Having a new and carefully designed office was a persistent dream of ours, and we wanted to create a unique space that avoids the formalities of a standard office.
The resulting three-story building is a symbol of our passion, of our desire to create functional and artistic spaces, while serving as a sanctuary for our creativity and ideals. In designing this office, we wanted to emphasize that we were casual in our intimate social interactions, developing a sense of family, a dream team with a space that fulfills our every need. This was shown by the spacious, warm meeting space as well as the material library on the first floor which allowed for connection between our team and guests.
To provide a space to recharge and be inspired, the second floor offers comfort in working with three divided working spaces, a living room-style area, and an outdoor swimming pool that allows the team to be mobile in their creative spaces. For our more intense work processes the third floor, or the mezzanine, was designed to facilitate deep individual focus.
In connecting the floors, we used curved stairs, sides fully enclosed with green baluster, providing an aesthetically pleasing path between areas.
We’ve also decorated our space with world-renown design and art pieces that showcase our design sensibilities, such as Wassily Chair by Marcel Breuer (Knoll), Akari Lamp by Vitra, and Dancing Wall by Vitra. All of these serve to not only decorate the space with a certain visual aesthetic, but also to aid in its function in facilitating creative endeavors. This is a place our creativity can call home and where it blooms in the company of each other.
